The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has announced the winners of the Rabies Creative Art Contest.   The contest was initiated in September to promote the first “World Rabies Day”.  There were 116 poster entries in the contest.  Fourteen posters were submitted from the Four Corners Health District.

The posters were displayed at the State Capital building during the month of November where the DHHS employees enjoyed their beauty and inventiveness and were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite entry.

Dr. Annette Bredthauer, Public Health Veterinarian, recently announced the winners which included David Rech from East Butler Elementary school, Dwight Nebraska.

David is the first place winner in the over eight years old category.   Four Corners Health Department staff presented David with a certificate and a 20 dollar check.

In addition, all students participating in this contest from Four Corners District received a prize for their efforts.  Their posters were displayed on the Four Corners website in the month of October.
